Southern Cross Pregnancy Centre Programme
Our Mission is to provide a save environment for Pregnant woman where they will not be judged, but be loved & receive non manipulative counseling when having a unplanned pregnancy or are struggling with Post Abortion or any other crisis related pregnancy. To make sure that young girls will make well informed choices. To provide info & counseling on Sexual integrity issues, to be a safe place for woman to just talk, confidentially about all sexual issues. To provide alternative information on birth control.
Part of our mission is also to:
- Preventative programs in schools and tertiary institutions, creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere whilst telling the truth about sexuality and relationships and answering questions they are usually too shy to ask.
- Being a point of reference for schools and tertiary institutions for projects relating to unplanned pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections.
- Offering a program of sexual integrity and sexual wholeness, especially for the woman/girl with a negative pregnancy test.
We also have a programme called “voete-vat” where we literally walk through different neighborhoods to visit pregnant woman & woman with babies and also teens. We visit with them and counsel with them in their different needs.
We offer a service to the local clinic & hospital where we counsel woman & men who went through miscarriages, still births and post abortion.
Cj2 Engineering Programme
Started in 2010 manufacturing body panels for older cars and added the restoration of vintage vehicles in 2014. In 2016 we changed it to focus on training because we realized the massive need for basic training for young men.
Because of the rate of fatherlessness in our communities, we decided to focus on apprentice training where the apprentice earns money. While learning basic workshop skills, as in most cases the apprentice needs to look after a family or at least help support a family.
We work in the following areas in the workshop and offer apprentice training in these areas:
- Plate working (Manufacturing body panels for old cars, also includes welding)
- Mechanics (Restoring and servicing old cars)
- Panelbeating (Restorations)
For a comprehensive list of parts we manufacture in our training workshop and examples of restorations please visit our website
Made New Ministeries Programme
Missions started growing in my heart when I was a young girl.
I was only seven years old when I decided that I want to be a missionary one-day, even though I didn’t realize exactly what that meant for my future.
In 2013 I attended a gap-year program with Hatfield Christian Church and got baptized. After that, things started changing drastically. In 2014 I studied Make-up Artistry but soon realized that there’s something more to my life.
By 2015, by God’s grace only, I ended up doing a Discipleship Training School with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) and went to Brazil on outreach for three months. This changed my heart and deepened my relationship with The Lord so much that I then remembered what my lifelong dream was …to become a missionary. To become someone who is not living for herself, but to serve the Lord God and to help those who are held captive by the things of this world, to use my testimony to lead women to freedom and to be the salt of the earth just like Jesus was.
In 2016 I attended the SHINE Seminar with YWAM Amsterdam. This Seminar gave me insight and knowledge about human trafficking, social justice and prostitution. It gave me even a deeper desire to see women and men, boys and girls, young and old be set free from whatever is keeping them from living free in Christ and free without bondages.
Made New Ministry is only beginning and I am so excited to learn and grow in what God has planned for us. We will serve the Lord and His people, we want to see identities being restored in Christ, we want to go out and make disciples of all nations, we desire to baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19
We are planning to return to Brazil where we were serving alongside Shores of Grace Ministries in Recife for a few months in 2017, continuing to further study Portuguese, the Word of the Lord and our roles as missionaries. This is what the Lord has planted in our hearts for this next season.
We especially desire to approach females and young girls who do not yet understand their identity in Christ, who have been hurt and abused, captured in prostitution or trafficking and who are still in the ‘caterpillar stage’ of their lives. We want to share with them the freedom of Christ and serve them so that they too can be free and be who God created them to be.
Having the body of Christ, the Church, as a support system is what will help this ministry to reach even the hardest, darkest and loneliest of places in the world and that is exactly where we need to go and be the light of Jesus Christ.
